Baby update

29 November 2005
No, I have not had her yet. I'm 39 weeks today. The doc is back in town, so anytime today or later, she's allowed to come out. I'm no longer taking an easy. I'm ready to have her in my arms and not in me anymore!

So, nothing exciting is happening, yet. If I don't get to post an update before she comes, I'll definitely be back to post about her birth.

**Sara, I'm waiting for the address. And it was great seeing you the other day. Can't wait until Christmas!**

Thanksgiving Day

24 November 2005
We had a nice, relaxing day. Our friend's house was full with family and friends and tons of great food. I managed to eat a plate full, but unlike past thanksgiving dinners, I did not go back for seconds. I did manage to have a few pieces of pie throughout the day though. In hind site, I shouldn't have. I was able to sit in a recliner with my feet up and relax. I tried helping, but was pushed out of the way. I felt bad, but what could I do??

The boys had a wonderful day. They got to eat summer sausage made out of deer meat. They loved it. I on the other hand was not crazy about it. Besides being able to eat/snack all day, they got to ride horses for the first time. They loved it! At first, Zachary didn't want to have anything to do with them. He's always loved animals, but he won't mess with the ones that are bigger than him. But, after seeing Christian ride, he changed his mind and said he wanted to ride with Cheyenne. So, Zachary got up there with her and there wasn't anything you could do to take the smile off of his face. It was really cold, so I made them come in and warm up and then some others went riding (including Steve). After they got back, we let the boys back up so that they could get their picture taken. Wouldn't you know, I didn't take my camera today. I had picked it up but then said to myself that I wouldn't need it. At least my friend took a picture and she'll get me a copy.

Unfortunately, I did not get to go riding today. It was hard and I would have LOVED to have gone, but I'm doing whatever I can to make sure that this girl stays where she's at until my doc is back in town.

So for now, I'm going to get the boys in bed and then I'm off to bed. We'll probably watch a movie, but at least I'll be in bed and can fall asleep. Who knew relaxing could make you so tired?

Updates

23 November 2005
We're 13 days away from our daughter's due date. I had my 38 week check up yesterday and the NP checked my cervix. I haven't really started dilating yet, but I'm thinning out quite a bit and the baby's head is very low. The NP could actually feel her head and she actually had a difficult time checking my cervix because of how low the baby is. She thinks that I have a very good chance of having the baby before my due date because of all the conditions, but that's not a guarantee. As long as she waits until next week, that's fine. My doc is gone for Thanksgiving and won't be back until either Monday or Tuesday. I think Friday, Dec. 2 would be a good day to have her. The NP told me to relax, stay calm, no stress, eat lots of fruits and veggies and no sex.

Christian's arm is healing nicely. He'll be in the cast for 4 weeks tomorrow. Really doesn't seem that long. We were back at the doc last week for another x-ray, plus he got his orange cast. Both bones look fantastic and there's quite a bit of new "bone" growth around the breaks. I think it's more like calcium, but what do I know...this is not my field of expertise. He'll definitely be in his cast when he meets him baby sister, but I'm hoping that he'll be out of it by Christmas. We shall see.

Our puppy Hope was spayed on Monday. I picked her up yesterday and she threw up in my car. We hadn't even got off the vet's property. YUCK! Her being drugged has been a good thing. She's been really mellow and laid back. I like that. Except, when we got home from church tonight she was starting to act like her normal self. We'll see how she acts when food gets put in front of her. Steve is feeding the animals now. We actually left her out of the kennel to see how she did. We didn't kennel her when we first got her and she ate a couple holes in my couch cushions, so into the kennel she went. There was not a thing messed with when we got home. We're going to start letting her out of the kennel when we're gone for short periods of time. Not tomorrow, cause we'll be gone for a good part of the day.

Tomorrow we head to a friends house for Thanksgiving. There's going to be 31 of us. Good thing they have a huge house!

Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

We've Moved...

I left modblog. I'm tired of all the up and down, mostly down. With d-day right around the corner, I wanted to have a place for friends and family to see/hear what's happening since we don't have any family around here.
